What’s it about?
When Sunday Brennan finds herself in the hospital, and charged with a DUI, she finally makes the tough decision to go home again. Returning to her close knit Irish-Catholic family will not be without complications- but it is home.
What did it make me think about?
Families and what good stories they make.
Should I read it?
This was a really good debut novel. Tracey Lange writes a very readable family drama. It is full of omissions, secrets, and complicated relationships- but doesn’t that make for a good story? As in all family dramas you often think, “who would do that?”, but just go with it.
Quote-
” ‘Okay. I’ll come home.’
A certain comfort came with making the commitment. She couldn’t back out after that.”
