What’s it about?

The British Secret Service displeased the Prime Minister- so two years ago he started an investigation into their practices called, “Monochrome”.   Monochrome is set to disband (after two years of languishing) when suddenly some highly classified information comes to the panel. What exactly happened in Berlin in the 1990’s that would interest this panel?

What did it make me think about?

What a hard life!

Should I read it?

This was a classic spy novel.  I felt like I was reading an old John Le Carre novel.  Anyone who enjoys a good espionage thriller will not want to miss this one.

Quote-

” ‘You want to serve your country, right? What did you think that involved, dressing up and playing parts? This job is about betrayal.  About persuading people to betray other people.  Their countries, their friends, those they work for.  And in return, we betray them too in the end.’ “
