The All Of It

145 pages

What’s it about? A priest in Ireland looks back on an encounter with a parishioner.
What did it make me think about? How difficult it is to suspend judgment and really hear someone.
Should I read it? It was quick and very thought provoking- almost like reading a long short story.  I liked the characters and I liked the questions it posed.
Quote- ‘In the aftermath of the hellish scene he’d created with her, he had done naught but review his life in terms of the crime he had committed against her.  It was one of his frequent, impassioned mulls from the pulpit:To work ones imagination on someone else is evil.
Question- What will the relationship between Enda and Father Declan look like in the years to come?
